Improved model of noncompressible intra-abdominal hemorrhage published in the Journal of Trauma

Noncompressible hemorrhage is a leading cause of potentially survivable combat death, with the vast majority of such deaths occurring in the out-of-hospital environment. The Critical Innovations team has developed a modernized, out-of-hospital, large animal model of noncompressible hemorrhage. This improved model was developed in conjunction with regulatory feedback and published in the Journal of Trauma. The presented model allows for future research including basic science, as well as translational studies of novel diagnostics, therapeutics, and devices. See full article here.
